On
October 11, 2001 the Neuroscience Research Building was proudly dedicated
on the School of Medicine campus at UNC-Chapel Hill. Approximately 300
UNC faculty, administrative staff, and guests attended. The ceremony speakers
included Dr. William Snider, Director, UNC Neuroscience Center; Dr. Frank
Longo, Chairman, Department of Neurology; Dr. James Moeser, Chancellor,
UNC-Chapel Hill; and the Honorable Howard N. Lee, State Senator, North
Carolina, 16th District.
The Neuroscience Research Building is located at 105 Mason Farm Road
between the new Molecular Biological Research Building and the Thurston
Bowles Building. It houses the UNC Neuroscience Center, the offices of
the Curriculum in Neurobiology, neuroscientists in the Genetics Department,
neuroscientists in the Department of Cell & Molecular Physiology,
and neuroscientists in the Neurology Department.
